Legacy SW64 Feed Through Load LNB B Ports

What exactly is a Feed through Load for the SW64 B Port if you run 2 SW64s?

If you split the feed off the lnb and the Blocked Port runs to the second SW64, why would you need a Feed Through Load?

And why are they only needed on the B Ports?

The way the SW64 was designed it has to have a certain load on the "B" port before it will be able to check for a signal on that numbered pair. Otherwise it acts as if that pair has no connection to a dish.
