looking to buy new hd tv

hello i am looking to buy a new hd tv right know i have a 46 sony hd tv projection tv i am not happy with it i am looking at the 42" CineForm™ Director's Series™ Plasma HDTV 42HDX61 Hitachi i can get this tv for 4000 dollars shipped and setup.i need some advice should i go with plasma or lcd i will buy hitachi should i buy director series or non director series plama or lcd.

Would suggest that you check out the JVC HD-ILA LCOS 52" set. I replaced my RPCRT set recently with this set, and it has the most awesome HD picture I have ever seen. Sells for under $3000.00. Got mine for $2800.00. Have seen advertised for as low as $2500.00. I also have a DLP set and a LCD set. So am able to make comparisons in my own home.
