microHD recovery cable...other uses??

I bought one the microHD recovery cables off of ebay and was wondering if this could be used to program remote controls via the JP1 port. Does the cable put out 3.3V or 5V? I can always rewire to fit the JP1 pinout.

You can use it on a Raspberry Pi.

Yes if you remove the case you will see 3 and 5 volt's.
