And I thought the RSN FEEs were bad ...

If I am reading this right, if I wanted the Tigers and the Indians, it would be $40 a month ???
I don't need both of them, however, with D*, for that outrageous fee, ($18 p/m) I got all of those that are listed, Detroit AND Cleveland and Cincy as well.
While technically true, you have to compare it a little differently, for example-

YTTV with those two RSNs-$123 a month.

DirecTV with the same RSNs, box fees-$150-160 a month?

Use to pay $10 a month for PASS, that was the start of all this way back in the day.
PASS ended 28 years ago, that was for one area, $10 more in almost 30 years is to be expected.
In reality, if I want Just the Tigers, its about the same as it was with D*, but I get much less.
But you are still paying less monthly in total, if you stick with YTTV and drop DirecTV, as you have been thinking about.
So, it would cost $149 for ALL the teams for the year, PLUS $120 for the Tigers. :(
Again, total it out, if your DirecTV bill is $150 a month x 12

DirecTV-$1800 for the year + $149 for MLB is $1949 a year

YTTV-$996 for the year + $149 + $120 for the Tigers is $1265 total, then you are saving $684 a year.

If you add the Ohio Baseball teams, another $120, you are saving $564 a year.

If you pay more to DirecTV, a bigger difference of course.

Thanks for the Link.
You are welcome.

You get free MLB-TV with your MLB EI subscription through DIRECTV so yeah...you do get all of those options except the spring training games as your MLB EI/MLB-TV package doesn't go into effect until the regular season starts. Sometimes they do give you access before the season starts but not always.
good to know! it used to be that they were completely separate. glad they fixed that.
