On demand is the future of television. Think about it, Netflix is pretty much a streaming service, lots of people have DVR's which was previously recorded content. Everything is going IP based.

Regular tv is already dead to me. About the only things we watch that are not streaming anymore is local news.

And the satellite companies jacking up the price around $5 annually isn't going to help. I guess you could play switch the satellite provider every 2 years for the discounts though...hahaha

I switched at the end of December last year because Dish America didn't seem like a good value anymore when they increased it last year, and it looks it's getting a $5 increase soon.
