The season opens in Philadelphia with the Eagles hosting in the Cowboys.

Chargers are opening their season in Brazil, reportedly against the Chiefs. It's expected to be free globally on Youtube on that Friday night.

The NFL is somewhat saturated in the US already, I mean short of a game on every day of the week which almost seems inevitable at this point.

The NFL is branching out internationally to sell more merch and TV rights.

Why don't they just open up thier Own Football league in whatever Country they choose and leave US football to the US.

They have a Game coming up in Australia I heard somewhere, may or may not be this year, starting time would be 6am EST ...

Now how many NFL fans will they draw watching that game here ?

If MY team was playing at 6 am I highly doubt I'd be up then to watch ...
Btw, is that game 6 am on Saturday or Sunday or is it Monday ????

They want more of it. The NFL have gotten about all they can out of the US. So they are looking outside the US.

The NFL wants fans in Australia. They want Aussie sports networks to pay dearly for the NFL. This is how you grow a brand globally. This isn't about you. They already have the American broadcast money.

Personally, the NFL could get a LOT better in the States (wouldn't make more money though), theres plenty of people playing in the NFL trhat are not very good ...

As opposed to 1976 when all of the teams were undefeated, had 2x 1,000 yard rushers each, and every team's defense had 10 sacks a game while the offense gave up no sacks a game?
