NFL 2025-2026 Season

Bills manage a close win against the Dolphins. With the Chiefs looking a bit weak, this might be Allen's time to finally get to the Super Bowl.
I turned this one on late, saw it was close, was rather surprised ... watched till I fell asleep, woke up to check out the final score ...
Had it been a 1 score game at the end, some how I end up waking up to see the end ... don't know how that happens.

I would like to see the Bills in the Finals, that would be interesting.
Except it would in the process eliminate other AFC teams as well ....

I think there are more teams in the AFC that are better than Most NFC teams ... then again, the NFC teams are coming along nicely as well.

There are reasons this type of thing happens ... mainly, your O Line isn't making holes.
Mahomes rushing totals would be Much different if HE were lining up as a Running Back, vs getting them on broken play scrambles.

The Headline makes it sound like its a Good thing.

I've lived through some lean years as a Patriots fan. Scott Scisson was a big reason for a number of tough losses. But yesterday was the hardest loss I've ever seen for a team I was cheering (I'd say the Denver v New England playoff game where the officiating spotted two TDs to the Broncos was the worst up to then). Kudos to the Steelers defense for making most of the turnovers happening, but to see 14 points vanish in a game the Patriots won convincingly on the field... and lose, especially after taking the reins back after the Steelers opened up so strongly... that was a very hard loss to watch.
Well last week of the pre season coming up, lets get this over with.
Man, last five or eight years of the regular season during the Patriots dynasty run felt like that... all season.

A number of surprises so far. Patriots are second place in the AFC East, and that should be because they are 2-1 not 1-2. Wouldn't have thought that. Kansas City and Baltimore are 1-2. Mac Jones and the 49ers are 3-0. While I'm happy for Mac Jones, a guy that lacked consistency in coaching in New England, 3-0 start would have seemed unlikely... I mean that he'd start three games. Forget win them!

Philly v Buffalo would be the smart money for the Super Bowl at the moment. That isn't a surprise.

Not planning on seeing the Patriots in the playoffs this year, but the win over Carolina was a large relief. Especially after the first 1.5 drives of the Panthers where the Patriots defense was worthless... but then *click*. And that was the end of Panthers' offense on Sunday. Patriots' record is in a quantum entanglement of 2-2 and 3-1. Maye is still having issues with accuracy at times, but he appears to be connecting more than missing.

Surprise, surprise, surprise...
The Steelers at the Quarter mark of the Season (what use to be the quarter mark anyhow) is in 1st place in the AFC N is amazing.

They are playing ... not very well really.

The rest of the division must be doing poorly so far is all I can figure ...

The Ravens are beat up and injured, but then so are the Steelers, not as bad, Defensive side is.
Baltimore is beat up bad
Browns have a D but nothing else, when the find the rest, they will screw it up
The Bengals pretty much go as Joe Burrow goes each year, he's also injured.

Steelers would be 2-2 if not for the 5 turnovers against the Patriots, at least a few forced by the Steelers defense.

Meanwhile, the Patriots are looking a lot better than I was thinking reasonable this season. I was hoping to be doing this at the end of the season. Not beating the Bills on the road on Week 5. Maye is still having targeting issues, but he is improving on his good throw / bad throw ratio.
