Overrated-underrated: Porter, Warren on opposite ends​

A certain magazine known for a cover jinx put Joey Porter on its cover last year and called him the NFL's meanest man.

This would have been a better description: The NFL's most overrated player.

Porter signed a five-year, $32 million deal with the Miami Dolphins this spring as an unrestricted free agent. The Dolphins think he can be a pass-rush force, adding to an already talented defense.

Many personnel people and coaches I talked to think they're getting something else, which is a player who has more bark than bite.

Looks like The Steelers knew something about Joey after all.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Overrated

G Alan Faneca. He's a nice run blocker, but he struggles in pass protection. The Steelers will make the wise move not paying him a new deal.

Underrated

DE Brett Keisel. He always seems to be around the quarterback. This year, the Steelers plan to use some special defenses where he will line up as rover.

Maybe a clue about Faneca.

Only had 6 and 4 TD's the last two years, so he's hardly the "all he does is catch TD's" machine anymore.

When I had season tix this guy would take whole games off. Granted he did have some very memorable moments like stuffing the Colts on 4th and goal to with the game but he wasnt consistent enough for me.

As for Manning we are talking about ratings. Not whether a guy is good or not. Manning is fantastic. A great qb. But I dont think he is the be all and end all for qbs.

Bettis was a dink. He used to dance after 2 yard runs.

Marino is another whiner who won nothing.

San Diego mouthed after they were beaten in SD by the Pats. Even LT (WHO IS THE GREATEST PLAYER IN THE NFL) whined about the pats not having class for celebrating the win on their field.

Oh SEAN MERRIMAN add that cupcake to the list. The steroid fiend ran his mouth the week before the pats bolts game. The poor lad was given a big does of why dont you shut the *&^% up and he didnt like it when the pats did his little celebration dance.

Mother Theresa never went over the middle. She flat out cant play.

I think it's Tooo soon to consider Big Ben overrated, he's basically played one year and one that he played with a concussion all year, you have to admit, last year he never did feel right.
