NHL games

I recently bought the Geopro MicroHD. From what I can see, some NHL games are sometimes backhauled. Since I have been out of the loop for a while, was it worth it to have purchased a 4:2:2 receiver or the MicroHD would be sufficient?

I might be mistaken but 4:2:2 is mostly used by CBS which doesnt cover hockey.
