No volume control on Sony TV.

Just got a new Sony TV, 850C....

I have programed my RC71B with no problems.....
Only function that dosent work is the volume?
It only gives one code for the Sony...
Any ideas?

have you tried using the "i dont know" model? usually running through the first 5 or so will get 99% of TV's if the brand is right (and sometimes even if its not lol).

Get rid of that awful remote and use the RC6X family. They actually work.

Are you entering a specific code or letting the box program it for you? Have you tried setting the remote to RF mode then telling the Genie what make model TV you have and see if having no the Genie program the remote works better.

It dosent add up.....On setup it controles volume...when you confurm it and have it programed the volume up down dosent work but any others due...

Yep.....That was it!...I went and reset remote, re-did the RF setup, and it took the code....I had a sound bar setup with the other tv....
