It's never boring...lots of stuff happening in the background: HR's plot to rule the city by forming a new alliance with the Russian Mob and the Team throwing a wrench into their plans; Root and her wanting to be one with the machine; the Teams continued dealings with the terrorist group responsible for shooting Reese in the back, etc. And let's not forget about Elias who is biding his time in jail...and just chomping on the bit to seek revenge on HR, the Russian Mob, and perhaps the Team.
