Peyton Manning

That really went over your head. Brady was the 199th pick in the draft and luck will be no Tom Brady or manning, ever. Wasting a number one pick on such a long shot as the Qb position is like throwing your future away

And wasting a#1 pick on the most fragile position with the shortest lifespan is a sound decision?

Yep. It's pretty much a done deal. I can't believe a player of Peyton's caliber will actually be hitting the market. This almost NEVER happens in the NFL!

If Manning was not injured, I think they might still let him go...$28 million is a TON of money for any player in any sport not named Michael Jordan.

I selfishly would like to see him play again. but if he's going to struggle and not do well on another team because his health may never be the same, then I rather see him retire and just remember him as the incredible qb he was.

I am torn on whether I want him to comeback(a TRUE class act and one of my favorites) or retire(for health concerns).

If he does play again you can well be sure that his health will not be a concern and he will go to an organization that will let him run the offense his way.

This morning, Schefter said that because of his stature in the game the process would be more of Manning interviewing the team, than vice versa....

No doubt, if he is certified healthy, the world is his oyster.

Manning has been cleared, so Irsay feels he has to respond:
