I am installing a Phase 3 dish for a buddy of mine, and I think the LNB may be bad. I get a perfect signal on 101 (95+) but nothing on 110 and 119. I have the AZ, EL, and TIlt set correctly, and it appers the dish is aimed correctly, since if I cover the left most (facing the dish) LNB, the 101 signal goes away. I have a clear shot at the 110 and 119 slots, so does that mean the LNB is bad?

TIA

Also check the cable lines coming from the LNB and the multi-switch that combines the lines. Flip things around and see what happens.

I just have a single cable coming direct from the dish right now. Test setup.

Are you sure you are receiving 101 and not one of the other satellites? Lining up on the wrong satellite is really easy to do...

I'm receiving all the 101 programming, and I covered up the middle and right most (facing the dish) LNBs, so that would mean I've got the right LNB on 101 right?

Assuming the your mounting pole is plumb, and that your elevation, azimuth and skew are correct there are
three possible causes:

Is there by pass voltage going up to the dish's built-in multi-switch?

It's possible two of the LNBs are bad or the multi-switch is bad.

The wiring between the LNBs and the built in multi-switch could be bad.

Check all three of these and (most likely) one or more of these things are the problem(s).
