Playstation 2 repair info

Hi,
Does anyone have a link to technical repair information for the playstation-2 box?
I am interested in the details like wiring diagrams, block diagrams,
debug procedures schematics, etc. I am a EE so tech info is good.
My grandson would like to have his box brought back to life and I
would like to help him out.

First off - Welcome!

There are a few site around and I will see if I can find them again, but would it just be easier and likely cheaper to get another one? It doesn't have to be NEW, because a repaired surely won't be. Good luck!

Since it's for his grandson, I'll presume his time is "free". I'd also presume he's done similar board-level diagnostics and repair and knows the failure is often due to a part that costs pennies.
