Power Down Dish 301?

I'm trying to turn off my Dish 301 so I can upgrade the software. (It's running 2.03). How the heck do I do that? The best I can figure out is hold the power button to restart it, but I can't make it turn off and stay off! Any advice?

Seriously the unit just needs to be in standby. If you want to use the power button on the front of the unit just press it once and don't hold it in. Wait 15 or 20 minutes and the unit should upgrade.

Very strange. Have you tried un-plugging it then plugging it back in?

I'm not sure what I did, but I managed to power it down. I'm letting it sit and then hopefully the new software will be installed.
