Problems since installation

I just got installed a few day's ago. But ever since that night i have had troubles with channels coming in on other channel slots: UHD coming in on starz HD (and i don't have the va va voom package), cnn coming in on espnews, and a few others like that. also when i tune to espnhd i get a uprade to subscribe message. any idea's on what this could be. it's happening on my hd set and my other tv' (sd). A tech is supposed to be out next week to check it out, but i was just curious to see if anyone has had this problem or knew what it could be.

Welcome to the forum!

This is a polarity issue. The LNB is not switching polarity properly. There are several possible reasons for that. The installer should be able to troubleshoot this. Just make sure to tell him/her that this is a polarity problem.

Mixed-up channels: BravoHD+ instead of StarzHD on channel 261

just fixed the problem

thanks for the quick response. i went in the attic and reversed the cables going into the multi-switch. i rebooted the receiver and all the channels now come in right. thanks for help. also, they are upgrading my ota antenna. does anyone know which antenna they will install

antenna upgrade

they upgraded me to an 8 bay multi-directional. the first one was a stealth like winegard. still waiting on a proper mounting for the upgraded one. supposed to do that and upgrade to 24 in. dish this friday
