It doesn't matter who this guy is contracted by, Voom, Directv, Dish or a
cable company. That kind of action is completely in excuseable and he should
be severely reprimanded by whomever he work for, if not fired. His actions
do NOT speak for VOOM. You have to know that.
Call Voom and let them know and demand another installer or installer
company.
Good luck,

Subject: [VOOM] No Service AGAIN!
Ok, I'm frustrated. No service again. The installer
made up his mind before he even showed up at my house
that he was not going to do an intall for Voom.
He called and said "I'm familiar with your area and
trees are going to be an issue and that it is probable
you won't get a signal."
Hmmm...I was so concerned I called my brother, a
telecommunciations/microwave technician with ATTWS,
and requested he be available for the installer. My
brother was certain that the house had a clear sight
to 61 from the house.
The installer wanted nothing to do him or his expert
advice. Nor would he leave us his name.
What kind of lousy outfit is this company? They
wouldn't even try...he made up his mind before he
arrived and was absolutely adamant against doing an
install that no amount of reasoning worked.
