remote to remote programing questions

has anyone ran into the problem when doing a remote to remote programming volume mute and power off with the dish remotes I can never get the tv power on off to work. Is there a trick or part of the proses im missing

Make sure you use the BIG RED Button on top for Power off when Programming.. Then you can use the little red button after it is programmed.
