Rookie remote TV-2 question

I have an additional TV hooked up 'off' my 'actual/official' TV-2 location. How do I 'sync' an additional TV-2 remote for that other TV.

At the risk of explanatory overkill, I have 2 TV-2s, one is the 'official' TV-2, and one is used via a simple connection from that 'official' TV-2. And yes I understand that what is watched on the 2nd TV-2 is dependent on what is being watched on the 'official' TV-2.

I want to get a 2nd TV-2 remote working with that 2nd TV-2.

Is there a PDF etc. Or does someone have a nice step-wise set of instructions?

Would the DISH tech support staff walk me through it, or 'frown' on such a set-up?

Let's see what I can do I guess.

The TV2 remote is set to a specific address, one that can be changed and must be recognized by your receiver. This allows multiple UHF remotes to be used on different channels on different receivers without interfering with each other. By the same token, this allows multiple TV2 locations to be controlled with any number of remotes that have the same address.

To see what the address your remote is set to, press the System Info button on your receiver, or hit MENU -> 6 -> 1 -> 3 on your remote control. You'll see near the bottom the addresses your TV1 and TV2 remotes are set to. Usually for TV1 it will be "1" and may be the same for TV2 if you don't have any other UHF-controlled receivers. Make note of the numbered address for the TV2.

With a new remote, press and hold the SAT button until all the mode buttons light up, then release it. The SAT mode button will be flashing. Simply enter the numbered address your receiver is expecting to find on the keypad. After a number is pressed, the SAT mode button will remain solid. When you have entered the new address (one or two digits), press the # key. The SAT mode button should flash three times letting you know the new address was accepted.

no problem finding the steps to set TV-2 remote in the book, and that one works fine. My problem is trying to set the remote for the 2nd TV-2?

The first TV-2 is set to a 5. Do I set the second TV-2 to also a 5? If I set it to some other number, won't that hose the actual TV-2?
