S 238?

Can you manualy add an OTA channel on S 238 or does it still tell you that this feature is coming in a future update?

Are you guys Dish employees, contractors, or retailers, by any chance? I don't think that rev is in general release yet.

None of the above, my one hopper seems to get all the latest releases, my other on is still on 234.

I think they were curious since there was no talk of it releasing to the public yet. I can also confirm it spooled to group of hoppers last night.

Update couldn't get here any sooner! Just hope it addresses the speed issues with the Hopper 1.0.

I just had my hopper switched out on the 19th due to an audio sync problem with the lower channels. Its running version s283. After the tech left I noticed the joey was at version s282. I unplugged the joey for a minute and plugged it back in. I took a few minutes but updated itself to s285.

One other thing I see in S238 is that, when the red button is used, the secondary channel shows as "Watching PIP" if the swap button was used in the channel selection.

One other thing I see in S238 is that, when the red button is used, the secondary channel shows as "Watching PIP" if the swap button was used in the channel selection.

It shows as Watching PiP regardless of if the swap button was used.

On another note, S238 seems to have fixed the S234 speed issues, which is the biggest reason I was anxiously awaiting an update. However compared to Hopper w/Sling, Hopper is still not as fast. It's a noticeable difference. Hopper is still fast, it's just that Hopper w/Sling is faster. Hopper is now faster than Joey which is what I would expect. Hopper felt just as slow as Joey on S234. It makes the most sense that Hopper w/Sling, with it's 1.3GHz processor and 2GB of RAM, would be fastest, Hopper is slower with it's 750MHz processor and 768MB RAM, and Joey is slowest with it's 405MHz processor and 512MB RAM. S234 made things painfully slow though. S238 seems to have resolved that issue.

Yep, except the phone interface which is my problem. Phone hits the phone block, does not come out. Connectection inside are good. It is between the wires and modular connector.

Last night my two Hoppers with Sling updated to S304 and my Joey updated to S286.

Haven't had a chance to check out any changgees/improvements yet.

Got S238 this mourning. It seems to of fixed my skip forward and skip backward problem. It used to jump all over the place.

Still 234 on my original Hopper. Noticed on 234, the custom list has been holding in the guide however on my Hopper with 238, it reverts back to my channels every morning as it used to.
