Last week, I left my Sat Buddy 2 outside overnight, and, of course, it rained.
It was pretty soaked, and water would spray out as I shook it.
I opened it up, dried it out, but of course, its dead. I have asked what its likely to cost to repair, but my guess is that repair will be close to the cost of a new one.
So, I am (again) in the market for a semi-decent satellite signal strength/alignment meter.
I use it mainly for setting up a Dish Networks dish when out in the RV, but also for FTA work, so it needs to be something that works for both.
The Sat Buddy Super is more than I am willing to pay.
The BirDog Ultra plus (V4) is about as far as I am willing to go (~$399).
I seem to read varying things about the BirDog, some people claim it makes coffee in its spare time, and others say its a pile of junk, and doesn't work most of the time.
I would appreciate any comments on this, and also any other suggestions that people have.
