Yes From what I hear, one is on the way to me soon. So whenever soon is and I get a day free it will be reviewed here.

No Official word yet though...keep this in mind.

But the site does mention the optional 50mm adaptor so it must be standard sized like the old 2100

The 50mm tube text states that it is for the SG2100 and SG6000. The SG6100 is not listed.

I wonder if the motor or gearing has actually been improved. I could care less about LEDs or an insignificant increase in movement speed if it doesn't track well, positions aren't repeatable or lack resolution or it doesn't hold up in high winds.

We have a sample of this unit and it was offered with several upgrade options for making the unit more robust. The factory offers upgraded stainless steel nuts/bolts, heavier gauge bracket, 42mm or 50mm tube, DiSEqC 1.2 position assignment, USALS code verification , error codes, etc.

It will be interesting to learn from testing results if this unit takes advantage of these hardware or firmware upgrades.

The test unit was well built and accurate, but could benefit from hardware upgrades. The display added nothing to me looking at it from an installers viewpoint, but the factory was willing to provide development (at additional cost) for several feedback features that could provide useful aiming feedback.

The LED display shows the approximate number of degrees rotated off of center position. It doesn't display satellite name or position.

Wish the manufacturers would build these diseqc motors with an option for DC input so they could use an external power source rather than the receiver's power through the feedline... Would make it faster that way too... Kind of wondering how it can be faster and support a larger dish using power limitations of the receiver's supply. Refining motor technology, gearing, and other engineering qualities can only make so much of a difference.
That being said, I am always glad to see a new FTA product, especially with any improvment over previous models. Also shows manufacturers and designers are interested in our business, hobby, or what ever.
