Hi from the UK.
Just been surfing around looking for US contacts re satellite and found your excellent site, which prompted me to maybe ask for your help and advice.
I live in the UK but pretty soon will be semi-retiring and intend to spend certain months of the year in Spain with my buddy and certain months in the US with other friends which would be in the Las Vegas NV area.
My big two passions are playing poker and horse racing, especially the British "over the jumps" racing which I love.
My desire is to know what's possible re satellite for my time in the US?
I understand one of our (UK) on course broadcasters "SIS" (satellite information services) send out their stuff on 55.5 W, at 3901H, but this is encrypted with "powerVu" according to lyngsat. Do you know who would require this service in the US and where would the powerVu receiver come from? Is it available in the states? I would not mind paying the subscription but maybe expensive just for 3 month short stays.
Also I have been told that the "SIS" service was being broadcast "Free to Air" on 58 West earlier this year. I wonder if you could tell me if it is still available on 58 W ?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give and regards from the UK.
Kenny
