I just talked to a very nice CSR and asked if I could cancel the free trial and then take advantage of the free Roku Stick deal. Did so with no problem. I have to say it was one of my better customer service conversations ever. Liking Sling TV and looking forward to the addition of more channels. I asked when AMC was going to be added and she said no date has been announced yet.

I'll do just that when the nexus player deal comes available.

I've got the other two and have been interested in trying the nexus out. For half off I'd do so.
 
You know, if they keep these free trials going, one could conceivably put in the time and never pay. I imagine this would have to come to an end after a while.

Yeah, I think most assumed it would be another add on pack like "sports", "Kids", ect.

Yep, it was clearly announced it would be an add-on pack. Not sure how it's hook line and sinker. 4 channels plus on-demand is what I read. Seems fair if it's a decent price for those that want it. Get a jump on HBO/showtime stand alone stuff. Maybe bring their price down a bit since HBO is rumored to be $20
 
Depending on the price of the add on, I would think having Netflix is a better value since they have all the content that is on Epix plus tons more, also since Sling is stuck to only one stream, one TV could have Sling on and up to two others could have Netflix on in the household.
 
I mean, what did you expect? The base package is about set if its going to kep a $20 price point. So bring on the add-on packages and let me build a custom package. If the value is not there then votw with your dollars. More content is good!

Yes, more content is good. However, if they get to the same high prices as a Dish or cable sub with the restrictions they have in place, they'll kill their "Golden Goose" before it can even get to Thanksgiving.

IMO, Dish should loss-leader this for at least a year or so, before they monkey around with it too much.

Probably requested by Shaw, Rogers, Bell. Those customers can VPN.
This site says there may be a Canadian launch in the future. Wonder if they'll have to change the channel lineup?

I wish they would add USA FX and FXX and a few more news and sports channels like your local Fox Sports channels BS Sports Network NBCSN to watch your home teams just to name a few!! :)
