Slow channel changing on 211

I have tried to search found nothing useful so wondered if it was my 211 or a general characteristic of the 211.

If i change channel doesnt matter from hd to sd or sd to sd it can take up to 4 or 5 seconds for the actual picture to appear. The guide info (across the top and sound) appears in about 1-2 seconds but the screen stays blank for much longer.

I am using component right now to a 42 inch panasonic plasma, i have 622's that dont behave this way.

So my question is, is this just the way the 211 works ?

i do not have that problem with my 211.
are you connected directly with component cables to the TV? OR, are you going through a receiver first? can you try hdmi cable instead?

i tried an HDMI connect and made no difference, i am going to try on another TV, i wonder if it's the TV s it's new. Cant do that right now will post later.
