Hi Everybody!
I should had asked this question a long time ago concerning the Smart Search on my Pansat 2700a.
I notice that when it first search the satellite, it would search for the TPs and at the bottom of the screen there are two bars, one for H and the other V.
I notice that when the search finds the TP it would show the blocks on the H bar and continue to do the same on V. Except on the V bar, the SAME TPs that shows up on the H bar would be on the V bar.
And then when the second phase comes in, while scanning the TPs for channels I would find same channels tuned it on both polarities.
Does this mean something isn't setup quite right? Maybe my LNB need adjusting?

you aren't slaving the Pansat to something else like a 4DTV? That's the only way I can see it not switching polarities

Do you get both polarities?

Iceberg, I'm not slaving from the 4DTV.
I kinda figure the polarities are not right. I got a dish just for AMC3 and I have been trying to get Create TV. No luck. I can get the Patient Channel, TIP channel, Bloomberg TV, CPTV, Montana PBS, and V Me. I am using a .75 Farm Bureau dish (Much like the Primestar dish with three arms supporting the LNB) and the LNB was with it. I get about 45 to 55% on quality strength on these channels.

How do I adjust the skew? At the dish by turning the LNB left or right? I noticed that the 2700a menu has a skew control but I figure that I had to have a feed horn with a polarizer on it.

how are you getting v-me and not create? They're on the same TP

the rest of the channels you posted are H polarity...wonder if that LNB only gets one polarity

V me pop up on the list but I get no quality strength. Reckon I might need to rotate the LNB a little to see if it pop on in. Could be I may be on edge of the Vertical polarity.
The LNB I am using is the .8 Channel Master that was with the dish.

Most likely you are using a single-polarity LNB. Is it square in shape, with a square base and four screws? If so, that's a WR-75 flange with a single polarity LNB. Pictures?

After what Iceberg told me in the above response, I was wondering if the LNB is a single-polarity type.
The dish is a Channel Master dish (with a Farm Bureau logo) and it has a LNB that has a square shape. It has three arms that hold the LNB in place.
The base with the four screws is like the Primestar type base, with the front of the feed horn that is like the feed horn you would see on the Primestar dishs. If I remember right, it is a .8 LNB.
I smart scanned again last night on AMC 3 and this time I only got all H polarity. :(
This dish is desginated to be the sole dish because my other dish with the motor drive has a view blocked where the satellite is located.

Don't think I've tried that, somehow I don't think it will work though. You may not get enough signal to pickup either v or h if its only skewed halfway. Try it and let us know .......?

Nah, that won't work. I have a single polarity LNB on my 1 meter CM dish aimed at G-10R. Naturally, its tuned on vertical, since 90 percent of the channels there are vertical.

There is probably an adapter (would look like a round disc about a quarter to a half an inch thick) mounted between what is most likely a C-120 flange (the feedhorn itself) and the LNB, which you can remove. This will allow you to mount a C-120 dual-polarity LNB, such as a Hughes, to your feedhorn.
