So the installer came on Saturday - FIVE HOURS he was there. He must've moved the old DirecTV pole at the corner of the yard at least six times before being able to lock into 110. He claimed he couldn't get 129, so I've got 110,119, and 61.5. It's a varitable tree of dishes out there. I had to make him slide the 61.5 dish back some because he had the LNB in the road. I had to drill the holes in the walls for him, so he wouldn't run the cables into the floor. He had the component cable hooked up incorrectly on the 622 and insisted my TV was broken. I guess I was rather disappointed in the whole affair.

Is installing a 522 instead of a 625 on DHA considered standard practice?

I'm tempted to either get a Dish 300 and a DP44 for 129 (and add it to what I've got), or a Dish 1000 and try to get 110,119, and 129 from the roof (and rip out the dish tree). Anyone got one laying around they might want to sell me?

You are better off for 61.5 sat for hd programming. The 129 sat is so weak that you will have nothing but problems with it.

Yes, either is acceptable for DHA. W/o all the gory details, they're pretty much the same.

you even get the fish tank demo on 61.5. the very best option is to have a bunch of 300's the next best is a 500 with a 300 and then the 1000+ with a 300 to pull in 61.5 or any other sat but that's expensive messy and tricky see my hd upgrade thread. I'm still thinking it over as the time is ticking until the installer gets here tomarrow! hurray!!!!!

Can I use a 300 to pull down 129 seperate from the two 500s I've already got up? Just for HD locals. Specifically which LNB?

Hmmm .. 61.5 .. isn't that the old Voom satellite? I have an install re-re-scheduled for this Saturday because he needed to order a tripod to set it up for viewing of the 129 satellite. I believe he said it was going to be a single Dish 1000 for the install. Should I ask him to point it to 61.5 for the HD instead or will he need 2 dish's to do that and would I be charged for it? I won't have room for 2 dish's ... mobile home.
