2 new HD channels (Total of 7) – ESPN2HD and Universal HD channels will be added to DISH Network's current HD lineup, which includes Discovery HD Theater, TNT HD, HDNet, HDNet Movies and ESPN HD.
· New HD Channels – to launch on DISH Network February 1, 2006:
? ESPN2HD – A simulcast of ESPN2, ESPN2HD covers live telecasts and features college football and basketball, Major League Baseball and the National Hockey League – all originally produced and distributed in high definition television.
? Universal HD – The best of NBC Universal's library in HD with unedited and uninterrupted films, award-winning series, performing arts & special events and sports programming.
Don't forget that HBO HD and Showtime HD are included for free when customers subscribe to HBO and Showtime movie packages.
· New HD Local Markets – We plan to roll out 50 HD markets in 2006, translating approximately to 50% of U.S. households. In Q1 2006, we plan to launch the first HD DMAs starting in Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Minneapolis and New York!
? Please note that if a customer is already subscribing to a local package and paying the $5.00/mo. for locals, there is no additional charge for the HD locals. However, a customer will need new MPEG-4 equipment in order to see the HD local channels (requires a system upgrade).
· HD Over The Air (OTA) – Effective February 1, 2006, for subscribers who reside in DMAs that will not have HD local satellite service available, DISH Network will offer a solution to receive local HD broadcasts with an off-air antenna. Retailers can purchase antennas from their authorized hardware provider and install them for new and existing ViP receiver customers who subscribe to DishHD Bronze entertainment package or higher. Here is how it works:
? Customers pay an upfront fee of $49.99 for an antenna.
- This $49.99 includes installation for one receiver, one television and one OTA antenna.
- We recommend using a signal meter to decrease the amount of time to install the antenna.
- A new agreement form will be created and available in the Promotions Center for this offer.
? A $25 equipment discount may apply.
- Please note that the customer must have a ViP series receiver and DishHD Bronze or higher.
- Not payable in DMAs where HD locals are delivered by DISH Network over satellite.
? Certain upgrade and other fees for equipment and installation are collected by the retailer.
New Programming
· Oxygen – DISH Network has launched Oxygen in AT120, DishLATINO Dos, and DishHD Silver and higher on channel 127. Oxygen is replacing Lifetime Movie Network (LMN) in these entertainment packages. Channel 109, where LMN had previously been located, will continue its free preview of Encore Love. In addition, AT60 customers will receive a 30-day free preview of Oxygen on channel 127.
? Oxygen consists of 24 hours of original programming with a mission to bring women the edgiest, most innovative entertainment on television, with the most original shows of all women's networks including Mo'Nique's Fat Chance, Talk Sex with Sue Johanson and Oprah After the Show.
· Fine Living – On January 12, 2006, DISH Network launched Fine Living in AT180, America's Everything Pak, and DishHD Platinum and above, located on channel 113 for no additional charge.
? Fine Living provides 24/7, 100% original programming dedicated to the pursuit of personal passions and the art of getting the most from every moment in life. Programs covers five lifestyle categories people are most passionate about: Adventure, Personal Space, Favorite Things, Transport and Every Day.
DishLATINO Programming
New DishLATINO – New DishLATINO entertainment packages, channel lineups and HD programming to be announced soon. Additionally, DishLATINO, DishLATINO Dos and DishLATINO Max entertainment package prices will NOT increase in 2006!
Existing Customer Promotions
· New DISH'n It Up Changes – Effective February 1, 2006 – Now our existing customer promotions more closely reflect DISH Network's new customer lease upgrades!
o DISH'n It Up will be changed to include the new ViP622 DVR HD receiver. Effective February 1, 2006, existing customers can upgrade to a ViP622 DVR and pay the same $299.99 non-refundable lease upgrade fee as a new customer for the same upgrade.
o Also note that DISH'n It Up will require an 18-month commitment for all transactions, and for all customer plans.
o There is a limit of 1 HD receiver per transaction.
o And, there is a limit of 2 tuners per transaction for all customer plans.

· Record Link – For analog, real-time, timer recordings from a compatible DISH Network receiver to an AV500E or AV700E PocketDISH.
? This is how Record Link works:
- Connect the PocketDISH to the receiver using the docking station (plus power) and RCA cables (or S-Video for improved video quality).
- Set an AUTO/EXT timer using the satellite receiver.
- When the timer starts, the PocketDISH will turn on, record the program, then turn off.
? Recording is real time, and basic program information will be included in the file name for ease in finding the program in the Video Recordings folder [this is updated from the folder location mentioned on the Chat] on the PocketDISH.
? Record Link is now available on: DISH 111, DISH 301 and DISH 311.
· Recent Software Updates

Special Event – 2006 Winter Olympics
· DISH Network customers can experience the 2006 Winter Olympics in a new way with the NBC Showcase and Enhanced TV application.
- Enhanced TV Application, accessed through dish home, allows the viewer to access information such as medal counts, event schedules, athlete's biographies and more, while programming continues on ¼ screen mode. Viewers can return to full-screen mode at any time.
o MSNBC is available on AT120 or higher, and Universal HD is available on DishHD Bronze or higher (as of 2/1/06). A phone line connection from the receiver may be required. Not available on all receivers. An HD capable receiver and HD monitor are required to view HD programming.
- Receivers: DISH Network customers with OpenTV-enabled receiver models can view the multi-screen showcase through dish home interactive channel 100: 3900, 4900, 111, 301, 311, 811, 411, 322, and DISH DVR models 501, 508, 510, 522, 625, 942.

Special Event – 2006 Winter Olympics

- HD viewing – Beginning February 10 through February 26, 2006, the networks of NBC will broadcast the 2006 Olympic Winter Games from Torino, Italy, with approximately 400 hours of original coverage including 200 hours of high definition simulcast on NBC HD and 100 hours of content including Hockey and Figure Skating from Universal HD.
- NBC Showcase and Enhanced TV Application – DISH Network subscribers get a multiple-screen NBC Showcase with a 24/7 highlights reel and the NBC Enhanced Application – both on dish home channel 100.
