Star Trek: Picard

I have a feeling that the studios (not Picard in particular) will be back at doing thier thing by Sept/Oct.
I have no idea how long it takes to get enough to have your Season start back up on TV.

I think they had 3 or 4 NCIS done when this all hit, as this past week was the last one (for this season) - 3 or 4 that would have ended it up normally finishing the season.

I've read on various sites that Discovery, season 3, wrapped up filming before the virus shut everything down, and that season 3 was planned to begin airing on CBSAA shortly after Picard ended... Well, it's been "shortly", and yet no has a debut date for season 3 (that I could find)...wonder what the hold-up is? Post-production stuff?

Maybe they are just holding off the next step till after this all is cleared and people are back to at least going out of thier homes again.

I don't think Discovery was finished with all of their post production special effects. They could probably start broadcasting the season, but could then be in the position of not being able to finish broadcasting it.

That's certainly a possibility...but a season 3 debut date (or even a tentative date) would be better than what I could find, which was no date(s) at all...

I am More Unhappy that its not for another 8+ months ...
I don't mind Q ...

As far as Q goes, I use to hate him when he was originally brought in, however, hes not as bad anymore ... thou his arrogance if pathetic.

I don't mind Q either. I just remember him perhaps being overused as a plot device.

It did on all my devices. That was back on March 4th.

Ya, I just looked at my TV and CCAA is no longer there and Paramount+ has taken it's place.

I really hate streaming, when you have to sub to 7 different services just to watch what you Use to get on one platform.

I can see why the generation older than me is having trouble.

I just wonder if Peacock will have Yellowstone on it's Premium service or if Paramount TV will have it. If it's premium on Peacock that's another service I have to pay.

Modern TV has always been like that, instead of different streaming services, we had to upgrade (and pay more) our TV Package to get certain channels, if you want to watch a show on HBO, you had to subscribe to HBO( or Any of the Premium Channels), no different then if you want to watch certain shows on Netflix, you subscribe to Netflix.

We are in a Transition Time as far as TV Programming goes, in less then 10 years, Live TV will look nothing like we had then and even now.

There is a big reason way all broadcasters are going with their own streaming platforms.....money.

Look at Disney+, by July their service will be bringing in 1 billion a month, they say in 2-3 years it will bring in 3 billion a month.

Modern TV has always been like that, yes, except you got it ALL on ONE SERVICE.

You ordered HBO and it was provided by your Cable or Sat service already, same with the other Movie services, you didn't have to go out and find a way to get that service, it was already there.

I have Rokus, easy as heck to subscribe to any service, what is so different from clicking on a app then going to a guide and clicking on a certain channel.

Reading the things you post, it really seems like you have a problem with streaming because it is changing how you watch things.

But the TV industry over the last 70 years has been nothing but change, from Antennas to Cable to Satellite to Streaming.

Or from having to watch shows when they are on, then able to record on VCR, then to DVRs and then to On Demand.

From Standard Definition to HD and now 4K ( the majority for 4K programming is streaming).

Streaming is not rocket science and based on subscriber’s numbers, not many think it is a big deal.
