I'd like to see it drop in '26, but I ain't gonna hold my breath.

I miss the good ol' days when a season had 20 (or more) eps and there was a new season every fall instead every 2-3 years...

Well, ST:TOS had 26/season, and that's about as far back as my childhood TV memory goes.

The time it takes for EFX may push it later.

With the advent of the video wall, I can't buy that argument. A lot of the F/X is being done live.

This is compared to compositing video onto film, as they did back in the day.

Shooting on season 3 wrapped more than a year ago. That puts the post-production at 13 months, give or take. If they finish shooting in August 2025, that puts the completion date somewhere around September 2026.

Introducing a streaming series in the Fall doesn't make much sense to me, and that's why I expect that season 4 won't drop until June 2027 or later (after the Fall TV season).

I hope I'm wrong.
