Starchoice address verification

Does Starchoice verify your Canadian address? I really would like to manage my own account and would like to avoid a broker, am I being to cheap? I know that they will bill my credit card directly, so do they even check the Canadian address?

well, they do tend to send mail from time to time (bills, advertisements, general flyers). If they get returned due to incorrect address, they're lible to kill the account.

you can call SC from the US but you need a CAD number to give them

Calling Starchoice

I call them from the US. But I have also called them from work where I can modify the settings of or phone system and send a Canadian area code.

I got it all set up and working last night, so far so good.

Be careful! If the 800 number picks up the BTN (ani) instead of the normal CLID (which is what you can send out on your pri) they'll catch you!

You can't change the BTN unless you have access to the (c)lec's switch.

Calling choice from the states has presented no problem for me here in colorado. I use a friends address and phone on my account and in two years have never had a problem. The dealer in canada I get units from to sell down here "creates" canadian addresses and phone numbers and he has no problems.
