I remember those days too! Dark Shadows, Lost In Space, The Time Tunnel, Land Of The Giants, The Outer Limits (original), etc. It was fun to watch SciFi then. SG1 was a great pick-up when Showtime was going to cancel it and SciFi took it and ran with it.

They had a great SciFi Friday line-up with SG1/SGA/BSG. Can't tell me they weren't making money with that 3-hour block...

Then they killed it, and now SGA too. BSG is coming to an end in 2009 and Mike nailed it with their Monster of the week flick every weekend. It's getting pathetic and very discouraging.

If they're actually trying to drive me away, as a viewer, they're doing a really good job....

Me too. When I had a day off from work, I loved seeing Lost in Space marathons; RTN has the original BSG - love that daggert.

Last night's SGA was a Rodney-centric episode...

It was also one of the better episodes. Occasional shoot-em-ups are good, but Stargate is always better when they focus on their characters.

I have to agree...the interplay between Rodney and the doc was quite nice, but the foreshadowing wasn't too deep...I saw it coming when she paused the video.

I just wish Rodney wasn't so dang obnoxious most of the time.

They always suspend new episodes on three day weekends..... Since many people travel on to a minivacation, it is unlikely that they would be able to watch the show, so they either trot out a special or a rerun to not waste a "new" episode on a smaller pool of viewers......

When SGA does suspense/thriller/horror, they do it very, very well. I was impressed. The "Samarra" imitation creeped the hell outta me!

Way different opening to SGA tonight... SG1 did that for part of a season too. No big intro, just credits during the opening, then about a 10-second (if that) trip through the gate...

It looks like the season's arc will be dealing with Michael and his experiments. We had the fog creatures and now we are seeing if the wraith can be made not to feed, and I am also sure Michael stole the jumper and escaped the destruction of his ship.

What was interesting to see was that the jumper had the Ancient's drone swarm weapon and was able to blow up the wraith ship when the other one could not do so.

Well, that Wraith ship was already pretty damaged too before they hit it with the drones.

Woolsey (Robert Picardo) has been in, what, 3 episodes so far this season? Amanda Tapping could've easily done those 3 episodes and done Sanctuary too... Though, to be honest, I'm sure he'll be in more episodes. The final season isn't even half over yet...

I agree also, probably with several exceptions, this season will likely be mostly Wraith/Michael-related...
