Notice how the low-hanging fruit actors will be offering autographs for a "nominal fee." Lame.

I also never realized that the woman who played McKay's sister REALLY is his sister in the real world.

Like the conventions, I am guessing the first two were not financially viable, even though they filmed them pretty much at the same time.

There still may be conventions (although doubtful with Vancouver being the "home" of SG1).

Given that I have never gone to a Trek or SG-1 convention, its not the end of the world for me. (That's not true, I did go to the vendor booths of a very small Trek convention back in the early 1990s).

Been to 3 Trek cons...back in the mid-90's. Saw Stewart talk at one, Dorn at the second (the guy is hysterical) and met Sirtis at the third and talked to her for a few minutes. She was quite a nice person...

Meeting Siritis was cool. She wasn't all stuffy and/or hung up on herself. Just a really nice person. Dorn could've done stand-up comedy, he was that funny. Stewart likes rollercoasters. Has ridden on dozens of them and is always looking for new ones to ride. So the stars of the show were cool. Some of the people at the cons, and some of the people running the cons were far from cool. Way too much arrogance and self-importance in some of those people. Many, many of the people I met were really nice and a lot of fun to talk to...but there are always a few who tend to suck the fun out of things...

I sure hope season two is better than season one. Let's just say some of season one episodes are better than others.

2/3 through season two. Very much enjoying seeing things in order. Just watched "Serpernt's Song".
