Switch From Satellite To Streaming

For the last few days when I tune to most satellite channels I get an on screen message saying that Satellite Service has been lost and I m being switched to straming. I called DiISH Support and was told that this was acommon problem right now and it is being worked om.

Does anyone else have this problem and does anyone know how long this will last?

It's not a common problem. Your signal protector is kicking in because you're not getting a signal due to a list of possible reasons.
You need a tech to come out and sweep your system

Well interstingly enough multiple CSsRs have told me it is not necessary.

I am fairly tech savvy. I like to do things on my own but I know my limits and when it is best to ask for a qualified tech and I think this is one of the situations where it is necessary

I agree, and let's be realistic, some cubicle sitter, thousands of miles away, is not going to know anything about what's happening at your house

Doesn't looking at sig strengths screen tell you something?

I get one every year and it's darn sure not evasive. Very invasive though.

I learned that female doctors are gentler. At 71, this is no source of embarrassment and hasn't been for many years.

Of course, I've been told I might not have another colonoscopy, so I guess the finger wave is historical, too.

I get a Prostate exam every year, too. I've only had one female do me back in 1995. She was not invasive, evasive, or abusive like the male doctors are. But, her method was strange! Instead of bending over doggy style, she had me lie on my side for the procedure.

LOL, nope. She was scary looking & I would say pushing senior citizen age back then in 1995 & what I would describe the appearance of a tom boy. She was really nice & did a very gentle touch procedure!

Checking signal, inspecting the cable for damage, connections for water damage and tightness, making sure the LNB to Host is 3GHz, removing excessive connections, like barrels in the line where past techs may have used them to fix damage instead of replacing the cable, checking the status details for LNB Drift, making sure the mount is tight, etc. It's not anything that takes too long to perform, unless you have things to fix.
