Switch Question

Ok I have a 30inch dish with a SG2100 and one KU LNB and one DSS LNB. My questions is can I hook one lnb to port one and the second lnb to port 2 of the switch and then run just one coax back to the pansat? Anyone ever tried this? Thanks

Yep, that's what I've done with a Diseqc 2x1 switch.

LNB1--|Diseqc|
LNB2--|_____|--------SG2100---------Receiver.

All run to a 4X1 switch on the roof and one line down to the receievr

In case you are not familiar with the switches.....You will need to go into the Satellite Setup screen and for each satellite indicate from which port on the switch it is receiving its signal.

Oh yeah..forgot about that


In the setup it says "DiSEqC" and options are 1,2,3,4, off

Whichever port you are running it off, that's what you change on the screen to
