Hi all,
I'm new here, so please bear with me.
Here's what I'm trying to do. I live in the St. Louis area, and I have a DTV dish on my roof. I think it's a dual-LNB, although I'm not positive. We don't have any HD channels, though.
Anyway, here's the idea. We live near St. Louis, and we're going to travel to the northeast, to a vacation house. This house doesn't have cable or satellite, and I was wondering if I could bring my DTV with me.
If so, I would then obviously buy a second dish, and then I guess take one (or a few) of my receivers with me.
Would it be as simple as re-aligning the dish and setting up the receivers? Or do I need to contact DTV? Or... what's the smartest way to do this? I'm assuming I would buy a dish, a tripod for the dish, and then possibly another multi-switch.
Also, I'm sure DirecTV doesn't want (or allow?) you to use one account in two places, and obviously while I'm on vacation, I won't be using DTV at home, and wouldn't care if it was disabled while I'm on the road.
I'd really appreciate your insight on this! If you need more info, feel free to ask.
Thanks a bunch!
Luke
