Sort of expected more (after season one). Episode one I found slow, at times boring, and the characters seemed distance (and at times annoying) and disjointed since the first season. Just didn't have the same vibe.
Episode two, I did enjoy the action, but:
While I figured Joel's death would happen early on, I was hoping for better or even a change in script. Problem is that most of the rest of the cast (with a few exceptions, such as Joel's brother Tommy) I certainly haven't warmed up to, or feel any can carry the show. This is especially true of Bella Ramsey's portrayal of Ellie, more of the spoiled brat feel to her, than anything else. From what I understand, this season will mainly be a Ellie vs. Abby revenge trip. Not really looking forward to that old trope, especially with the characters/actors involved. We'll see.
