Looks like they want FedEx to foot the bill for storage until actual delivery.
They picked it up before shipping info was sent?
I wonder how many mistakes will happen, and people get their iPad 2012s (I'm determined to distinguish them- we'll see how long that lasts) early.
I have a feeling we will see ANOTHER iPad released this year...
You can keep calling it the iPad 2012, but you'll be the only one.![]()
Call it "ipad 3" so everyone will know WTF your talking about. That's what I plan to do.

Yes I do... and the last slide they showed at the end saying they had more surprises coming this year kind of gave it away to me.
I don't.
Apple needs just three catalysts a year to keep pumping the revenue stream. They do 5 each year with 3 out of 5 big winners. Now they need to focus on iphone 5 in the summer and Apple TV for the fall. New models of Mac Air and ipods will not be revolutionary this year. If iphone 5 is a winner like 4s and Apple TV produces the catalyst like Mac Air, then the projected revenue stream will position Apple to be at $750B market cap and $ 225B revenue.
With a Mac, you'd have total convergence. But that is for a different thread.
Apparently the switch from March 16 to Mar 19 for delivery dates happened this morning sometime.
They want a smaller 7 inch model so they can sell it as a low cost / educational model.
Even yesterday as the day went on certain models were using the 19th instead of the 16th. I remember many of the AT&T models were saying the 19th, while surprisingly all the Verizon models were still the 16th.
I doubt it. There's no real benefit to making a 7" one as clearly the market for a smaller tablet is quite small, and I think we'd see Apple sell their existing models to educational institutions as a subsidy and take a small hit/make less profit with each one sold. No point in making a whole new model and screwing up their very successful development model to fill the need of a niche market. Besides, Apple is CLEARLY healthy enough to take a small loss per hardware sale given their cash amount not to mention they'd likely make the money back on app sales. They want a smaller 7 inch model so they can sell it as a low cost / educational model.
I agree. I do think we'll see changes to the MacBook Pro though - so it becomes more air-like, and loses the optical drive, along the lines of the iCloud model.
Changes, sure, but I was talking about a catalyst to drive the revenue stream higher and ultimately my revenue.![]()
