Thinking of switching to D from E

The eastern arc dish is the 1000.4, which did use the smaller 1 5/8" mast. From what I read the mast is sturdier than others, so maybe it would be okay with a slip on metal pipe adapter, but I doubt it would pass QC from Directv.

The adapters I've seen were all plastic.

Hmmm, thats different from the ones I've seen.
Maybe they have done away with the plastic ones now :doh:

The only plastic ones I have seen are just pieces of pvc that were sleeved to be 1 5/8" id and probably turned to be 2" in od.
I don't think they were sold by any regular vendors. Wasn't the guy's name Mike500 or something like that that sold them? I'm sure they fit, but with a weaker mount and mast, I doubt they would hold up as well as the correctly sized mounts and masts.
