I just found this thread today. I'm glad I did. I have loved 2.5 Men since it's first episode. I find like others here, that I can watch the repeats of this show and still laugh every time. My only concern is that the writers have not been using Jake to his fullest potential. I find Angus T. Jones to be a great, young actor. He's been one of the few child actors that didn't get on my nerves. He can deliver his lines with bull's eye accuracy, and he can play off any of the other characters they put him with.
IMO, the writers have done just about everything they can with Charlie's relationships, and with the "Odd Couple" setting of him and Alan, but with Jake getting into his teen years the writers could have plenty of material having Jake facing what is the proper way to respect a women, what a teen boy would be wanting, and dealing with his Uncle Charlie's why of thinking/acting with women. (Imagine Jake at 18, dating an older women, who Charlie starts to put the make on...)
The episodes that have pitted Charlie & Jake at odds with each other have been some of the funnest episodes ever. Lately, it seems they're just keeping Jake in the program, but he's not really involved with Charlie or Alan.
I just don't want this program to get where when you watch it and it's over, you shake your head saying, "They should have stop making this last year." I think the episodes with Charlie living with his Fiancee were some of the least funniest ever and I couldn't wait for that season to end.
Don't get me wrong, I still love the show, and the women they get on it are unbelievable, along with the fact that I'm amazed at times what they get by saying on that show, I just feel that plot wise it's starting to lose it's edge somewhat.
