Unauthorized Sears Promotion

I was stupid enough to pay over $400 for Voom equipment in May 2004, based on Sear's literature promising not only no monthly lease fee, but also the pluspack of my choice free. Regardless, Voom insists on charging for the pluspack. Voom has ignored my dispute resolution request for about 5 weeks now. I was at one point told that Sears had made an unauthorized promotion and that I was out of luck. Surely there must be many others with this same problem. My calls to Mickey Alpert's office (Lauri Henchman) are not returned. Any suggestions???

Your problem is with Sears--not with Voom. That promo ended on 3/31 I believe. Take it up with them for a refund or credit.

Actually you are incorrect Fay. We were misinformed here on this list by Voom reps, and then told after purchasing that the promo had ended 2/28. And then to top that off, they had the nerve to recently tell us Voom never approved the offer in the first place (never mind that they told us about it). I like Voom, but several of us got screwed on this one.
