Upgrading firmware

Folks, is there a way to upgrade the firmware on an older DLP? IE- The Toshiba DLP has no sound on 3 OTA channels and reading up on he problem says its firmware related.

What's the model number?
Does it have USB or Serial (RS-232) ports?

Its a toshiba 50HM66. There is no USB or serial ports visible on the outside.

I just gave a 56HM66 to my nephew. No way I know of to upgrade.

3 of 26 OTA channels have no sound..including CBS 3.1 which is the one that really anoys me.
