Using Service In Different State

If I have an account in California, would I be able to take my box to a place I stay periodically, in Florida--assuming that there is already a dish set up there? This would be a box that I already pay for on my account, I would just need to use it a few weeks out of the year, as opposed to opening a new account for service that is used so infrequently. Is it possible? Is it allowed? Is there any way for them to know I am doing it?
