Vonage + Samsung TiVO

Just as an FYI, when I got my DirecTV yesterday, it couldn't connect (at first) to get the TiVO updates. I fixed it by plugged a DSL filter into the TiVO and setting the dialing prefix to ,*99, (the first comma is a "just in case" for the voicemail tones). The installer noted that, as he had never dealt with a Vonage line before.

congrats... I couldn't get my HD Tivo, or my RCA SD Tivo to call out and I tried all kinds of stuff. in the end I just got the serial interface cable and am doing a serial direct to PC gateway type of setup.

I use the serial cable and modem sold by weaknees.com . Works like a champ http://www.weaknees.com/modem_fix.php with Callvantage VOIP.
