What happens if you connect the 105 lnb directly to the receiver?

 OK I've bought a Superdish from an online auction, first mistake.

The pan showed up bent and scrached. I tried to connect it, but was unable to get sat 105, just a little signal on the meter, no big surprise, but, I wanted to make sure that the LNB was good, thinking it would be like any other DP LNB, if there was no signal the check switch would still read CONN SGL

I connected it, it read it like legacy, started counting to 50. I moved the dish, with no signal on 119, the 119 LNB read CONN dual. the same for 110.

Is my 105 LNB messed up also?

Thanks to all who try to help!!!!!

I got a Super Dish 105 via auction ... it was NIB and worked fine.

In my experience the LNB doesn't show connected unless it sees a satellite.

My Install Story: I connected a receiver directly to the 119 (outrigger) LNB and did a switch check so the receiver only had the one LNB to deal with. I used that to point the dish close to where it ended up. Then I connected the cable to the 105 LNB and got a weak signal. A few adjustments later I got the best I could on 105 and connected the DP34 with all three LNBs. 119 and 110 are lower than I had on my Dish500, but still good enough to get trouble free signals. I've considered reconnecting the Dish500 but havn't done that yet. I was hoping that AMC-15 would allow me to repeak and get a higher 119 and 110 signal but alas it has not.

Hopefully you can get a non-bent reflector and you didn't pay too much. I paid more than I wanted to for my SuperDish but I did get a working NIB dish.

You must be careful if you purchase a Spuperdish at an option, whatever that is. People selling things over the internet don't always state the condition of the merchandise as accurately as they should. Sort of the lie-now-and-deal-with-the-consequences-later mindset.

You can always check out the dishstore for equipment.

Be nice chaddux. I know I can't type very well. I was a little mad when I was typing that.
No need in that.

Superdishes should do 50 steps. I know when you select "Superdish" option, it does that.

dp34 not showing LNB's
