xm radio al a carte

Several weeks back I read a post by somebody that was talking about xm and sirus radio being available on an al a carte for about $7.00. What I want to know is this something that is available now or is it a future thing. I checked their web-stie and I didn't find any info on it. I would appreciate any info that anybody can give me regarding this matter. Thanks
