The spots are accurate. What takes time is digging thru the data and tying each spot to it's market(s) and transponder(s).So the spot maps on SatMaps are not accurate?

Can you tell if they are testing the Smithsonian Channel by any chance?
Scott could answer with more certainty than me.The last info I read said they removed Simtsonian from testing. It usually is reported in the uplink reports.
OK, thanks. While visiting relatives over Xmas I watched about six shows. Really an awesome channel. I hope Dish brings it back.
Dunno if you got a Roku with during the AMC dispute but,Smithsonian channel is available on it.

I have been asking myself the same. I checked yesterday, and none of the spot transponders (18-32) has any signal strength in PR. Of course, tp 31 is not on yet, so maybe that is where spot 70 is, but I really don't know....How long spot 70 for Puerto Rico takes to activate and which transponder is on???????
It is not there in the startup phase. Probably lots more things will be added after they get all existing channels moved to E16. So, you need to wait and see if it pops up on the uplink report (after Digi gets it updated). How long spot 70 for Puerto Rico takes to activate and which transponder is on???????
I put together some photo shots of the transponder reuse for E16. One composite and 3 segment photos of the 15 transponders and the markets they are expected to serve. The photos illustrate how any given transponder is reused multiple times by separating the markets served geographically. Ten of the markets are served by 2 transponders, with the remainder having one transponder service.

If anyone knows, please post.
Would be interesting to read what DISH has in store (if anything) for this spot.
I got signal strength on tp 18
dbs2000 said:I have signal up to TP 17 with signal of 78 and most others but on 18..?????? You think you can double check that and how much you receive. Very, very odd. I know my system is in working order since I do my own maintenance which recently included three new LNB's, all new RG6 and a brand new switch. The word rain fade is non existent. I have 1.1 CM dishes.
Bottom line, please double check that TP 18. You must have a spot beam directed at your house only2:
Should have spot. But you maybe getting signal that is bleed over.I double check and strangely this is what I get tp 18 Locked name not acquired signal 55.
I really dont know what the receiver is seeing.
