Detroit Tigers

Tigers on 94

Tigers and Twins are currently on channel 94 tonight, it is the FSN Detroit feed.
Channel 96 is the new feed off of the 103 (I think it's 103) sat.
It is on 94 tonight and the HD looks awesome tonight.

Can anyone confirm weather this is mpeg2 or 4 tonight.

Verlander looked like the 2nd yr. pitcher that he is. I'm not being negative, it's just that for all he's done, evryone needs to remember that he is only in his 2nd yr., and will still have the occasional sh*t outing. It just won't happen as often as other players with comparable experience. I'm still pleased with the team this season, given their fast rise to contention since 2003, and a bullpen thats coming apart at the wheels, they've managed to remain in contention. Applause all around.

Paul,
Personally, I think if you throw a No NO you should gain some respect.
I think that Justin has been sevearly squeezed ever since the No No.

There were plenty of calls at the plate that should have gone the other way, yesterday in perticular..... I minute theump would call a ball at the belt , too high and then one at the knees a ball, pretty bad when they have a strike zone the size of a brief case.

In my mind, ANYTHING at the belt and over the plate is a strike, start calling it that way UMPS.

btw, you have a PM

Bonerman with 8 shutout innings tonight - in the running for the final spot on the all star roster - vote for him!

That would give the Tigers a top 6 players :)

Yes I think he wants the last spot, what a game he pitched.

I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one out here in Sports cyberspace !

Bonderman deserves an allstar spot this season. He's becoming the pitcher the Tigers thought he would be. This kid has the nastiest slider I've ever seen. (And I've seen a lot).

I would still have to put Steve Carlton and Randy Johnson's ahead of him, when they were in thier prime, but Bonderman is still improving with each outing.

Hopefully that give J. V. something to get him to focus and pitch better, he has been struggling some since the No No..... You would think he'd start to get some calls by now ... it ain't happenin yet.

I voted for him several times, I hope you all have voted as well, I think it ends on Thursday.

Were they on when they played Atlanta a few weeks back ?
They also have been on National TV of late, you shouldbe able to get that.
ESPN last Sunday night and Fox the day before.

Yes to when they played Atlanta. Did not see them on Fox, I think they had a Yankees game here.

Hard to argue with you on those two names Jimbo. So, i'll qualify my statement as to Bonderman having the nastiest slider from a RIGHTHANDER, OK?

OK ! :)

Or for this current generation, I know Randy's in this generation, but he's hardly the pitcher he was 5 years ago.
Maybe we should call them the "Young Guns"

Important series with Cleveland and Boston in the offering for your viewing pleasure this week. 2 out of 3 with Cleveland would be a nice start.

Bullpen DID NOT blow yesterday's game. Bases loaded, 1 out, and we can't get the ball out of the infield. I'm really starting to hate Cleveland....

Your just NOW starting, how about all of last year too ....
Yes that was another opportunity waisted away by the Tigers offense this time.

The bullpen suprised me, they were very good.. I look for Leyland to go that route with probably the same guys tonight.

I kinda like it when Durbin comes out of the pen, if he's on, he can pitch 3-4 inning if it's needed... Let's hope for more well pitched games this week.

Pitching still is no where near the consistancy we had last year.
I hope Bonderman comes back with another solid outing and JV as well, maybe they can start to get on a consistant good roll.

Kenny tonight and I think Verlander and Sabathia go tommorow.

Just goes to show the difference pitching makes in this game. The key difference between last years club and this year's is the bullpen. This year's team hits better, but last year's pitched better. Same thing in Cleveland , except backwards. Last year's hit well but couldn't throw their way out of a paper bag. This year the pitching has stepped up and the hitting is still there. PITCHING is everything, plain and simple.

It's about time Monroe hit the bench. That guy is in a serious slump. Bullpen was solid last night, especially nice to see Jones have a 3rd straight 1-2-3 outing.
