nope.. sports pack subs can watch games on NBA TV (provided it doesn't conflict with your local RSNs games). ie if the knicks are playing cleveland at cleveland and NBA TV is using Cleveland's feed... i would be blacked out and forced to watch it on MSG (knicks RSN). knowing the dolans... even...

lol. D* honestly may not like me... i photocopied all the false advertising regarding MSGHD and FSNNYHD (flyer in the mail, directv.com program guide, directv.com scrolling channel logos and a best buy advertisement) and attached it to a letter to the office of the president letting them know...

well, eSATA drives can have USB connectors on the back.... however, if it isn't an eSATA drive.... it won't work with the HR20/HR21.

not that this really matters, but i just continue to be blown away by how stupid this is all making directv look.... i was in the chelsea best buy (basically mid-town manhattan for those of you not in the NYC area) and right next to the HR20/H20 display they had a flyer listing all the directv...

so until it's added, it's not a valid topic to discuss? of course new yorkers are going to discuss this channel... it's one of our RSNs.

obviously there is a great deal of interest for this channel. if you aren't interested in the channel, then you should move on.

it really would make me feel better. not only that though.. put yourself in the shoes of a new/dumb directv customer. you look at their flyer and you think "wow, they have channels X, Y and Z... i'm going to switch to D*" and then you turn on your new fancy directv equipment and find out they...

getting the D* flyer in the mail yesterday (which lists MSGHD/FSNNYHD as available now) was fuel on the fire.... i photocopied the flyer, printed the channel line up from DirecTV the magazine (which also lists them as availble "mid october") and printed a screen capture of the directv.com page...

i was already pretty dissatisfied about the botched launches for these two channels but getting this flyer in the mail today just threw fuel on the fire. i think i'm going to photocopy the flyer and attach it to a letter to the office of the president.

how about we get back to HD chat.... let's start with why i got a flyer in the mail today from D* with all their new HD channels (including MSG-HD and FSNNY-HD).... i really wish we could get an official answer on what's going on with these two channels.

good to know.... i was starting to get worried when they disappeared from the online guide (on directv.com). hopefully wednesday will hold a lot of treats (including msg/fsnny) and not the tricks like we had last week.

no it isn't. MHD is not MTVHD. they are two different channels.

like i said.... locals in HD is definitely the most wanted i'm sure, but D* has made it very clear that they are king when it comes to sports in HD, and most people that i know that are sports fans are D* subs and would prefer to have RSNs in HD over some of the other psuedo HD channels that...
