Open up the receiver, and make sure that the sensor in there is really aligned with the window in the front of the case. It's pretty normal for it to be off on receivers. If it's off, try to figure some way to adjust/bend it to align it without damage.
If you want to take a chance on another Manhattan, Hypermegasat is having a sale on them for $99 and free shipping. I've ordered a lot from him, and he's a great seller to buy from!

I disagree. For a DVB-S2 HD receiver with a good reputation: $99 is not too much, particularly for a niche industry like FTA. We are not talking about products that sell in numbers like smartphones and tablets.$99 is still too pricey for a 4 year old receiver.
they should be around $50 at this stage of the game.

for the unemployed $99 is a big deal.
I would never spend that on a receiver that just gets true fta.
Huhh..? Sarcasm? The Manhattan has matured into a good, easy to use receiver and can get up to 32apsk feeds. Few receivers can get there.
so I run the manhattan firmware on my openbox s10,no big deal.Still not worth $99
must be nice to have money to burn
I've got an Amiko Alien2 and a MicroHD.
Amiko Alien2
Pros:
-Navigating Menus is quick
-Two tuner ports
-Can stream 4:2:2 to PC
-Has some internet TV
-Has fast menus
Cons:
-4:2:2 streaming is flaky on my network
-Won't always relock a signal if it is lost temporarily
-Ku satellite setup with 22khz switch is time-consuming (it wants you to use universal LNBs)
-Expensive
Limited time offer
